The latest Haiku release brings with it some exciting new features that we hope make editing you Haiku site even easier than before. Please do read on to see what we have released and where you can find the relevant documentation.

Menu drop downs

We have worked hard to ensure that we are able to provide you with a simple and effective way of managing the navigation on your website. We have finished the development of the menu drop down functionality, and this allows you to define what items you want your users to be able to access quickly through the use of drop down menus. You can see the documentation for this new feature here.

File/attachment management

We have now completed the development of the file library. You will see that you now have a files library on your Haiku website. We have migrated all of the files, documents and attachments from across your website into one easy to manage files library. In line with the new way to manage the files on your website, we have also made an update to how you can upload files to your site. You can now do this both in the files library, as well as in the rich text editor, where you would like to make a document available to your users. Another improvement that this functionality brings with it is the bulk and drag and drop upload functionality for both files and images. You can see the documentation for this new feature here.

Cloud hosting

As you will be aware, over the last two months, we have been migrating Haiku sites from the Oxford data centres to Amazon Web Services. We have now completed the move of the Medical Sciences Division websites. We just wanted to thank you again for your cooperation and patience through this migration.

Content sharing update

Due to the migrations of the Haiku websites from Oxford to Amazon, the content sharing feature had to be put on hold. However, we are now able to move forwards with the content sharing and complete the work that had already been started on this feature. By having the websites on the Amazon Web Services hosting, we have more flexibility that will allow us to finalise this feature and get it released to you as soon as possible. We will keep you up to date with an expected release date.

REMINDER!!!

Don't forget to submit any new functionality requests by the close of play on Monday 10th July to ensure that they will be considered for the next round of development. Submit your requests here.

We hope that you enjoy using the new functionality. As always, please do get in touch if you have any questions at all.
