Haiku 4.0

Release date: 16 November 2015

Features

Bugs

  • Remote profile connection tile contents ordering
Previously the items in the connections tile on a profile that is pulled into one Haiku site from another Haiku site, were not respecting the order of the items on the host site. This is fixed.

Haiku 3.8.7

Release date: 6 October 2015

Features

  • The date and time picker for the start and end of an event, has been clunky and unintuitive to use. When setting a start time, the end time would not default to the hour after, or even the same day. We have improved this now, and the event end date field automatically jumps to the same day as the event start date, and is set to finish one hour later than the start time.

  • When we changed how profiles are categorised, there was an issue that logged in editors could no longer see the tabs that were not published. We have now made an improvement in the edit interface of the team section. You can now select tabs that you want to see as a logged in user, as well as which tabs you want the public to be able to see. This will allow editors to be able to manage the profiles in an easier way.

  • Since the introduction of the taxonomy, the management of the tagging for research themes and research groups has become much easier. Following on from this, we have developed the ability for editors to apply the categories portlet to the research landing page where users will be able to click on the category and it will filter down the results on the tab that they are looking at.

Bugs

  • Profile misalignment
    Profiles automatically aligning centrally.

Haiku 3.8.6

Release date: 15 September 2015

Features

  • Documents and Attachments used to display as 2 separate tabs in the search results, we have changed this so that they both display under 'documents'. When restricted documents appear in search results for someone with incorrect privileges it had a padlock and the word 'hidden', now only the padlock appears. Finally, for those sites who are trialling the new cover pages functionality, the search results listed under a tab called cover pages. These results now display in pages.

  • The ability to add a selected publications portlet to any content type has now been developed. The portlet will respect the page template and only display in the correct location.

  • Previously, you could only create anchors linked to any sub title that was using the H1 heading. We have developed the ability for you to use the H2 tag for the anchors as well. The anchors work in the same way as before.

  • Multiple Videos Supported

The ability should be given to a user to add more than one video to any rich text area, whilst maintaining the ability for giving each of the individual videos a title and a caption.

Bugs

  • Some stub profiles were clickable, this has been corrected

Haiku 3.8

Release date: 7 August 2015

Features

Haiku 3.7

Release date: 17 July 2015

Features

Bugs

  • Slideshow arrows on responsive design
On mobile versions of the website, the arrows for the slideshow were obscuring part of the text for the slides. This has been fixed.
  • Our team portlet on research group pages
On the research group pages, the our team portlet is designed to extend to the length of the tex on the page to the left of it. If there was no text, then the portlet was not showing any profiles. We have updated this so that it will always display a minimum of one profile on the group page.
  • Description text for images on profile pages
When adding a description to an image tile on a profile page, the description was showing when you saved the layout, however upon refreshing the page, the description would disappear. This is fixed.
  • Addable content types within content types
Previously it was possible to add content types into other content types where this was not realistic. For example it was possible to create a news item within an existing news item. This both was messy structurally, as well as confusing for editors. This has been fixed.
  • Unable to add a news listing filtered by certain categories
It was noted that adding a news/events feed was fine, however the categories were not appearing in the filter box that would enable an editor to only show news/events tagged by certain categories. This is fixed.
  • Fix text wrapping on our team portlet for research groups
If a person had a long job title, this was cut short on the team listing for research groups.
  • Fixed broken link to Campion Hall on college connection tile
  • Reduce white space between fixed place portlets on course content type
  • Removed Typekit from loading in TinyMCE
Quite a few users were noticing issues that were causing some random strings of text (BESBWsy) to load randomly onto pages. This was being caused by the font that we are using. We have now removed a step for this as an initial step to resolving the issue.
  • Fixed issue where users could not add new profiles.
New profiles could not be added as in the old set up of the team section, the sections were defined by pages. We migrated these to sections and reflowed the profile adding.
  • Images in footer failing to centre
The images added into the footer of the site were not centring on the page.

Haiku 3.6

Release date: 11 May 2015

Features

Bugs

  • Footer Logo Responsive Design fix
When looking at the footer logos on a mobile device, the footer logos were breaking into the address details. This has been fixed
  • Scroll bar redesign
When using the HTML edit interface the scroll bar on the box was quite small and as a result it was difficult for users to click and drag. We have increased the size of this to make it more user friendly for those users who do not like to mouse scroll in the box
  • Strip out any 'BESbswy' text
Sometimes when adding pages to Haiku sites, due to the font that is being used, there is 'BESbswy' text that is randomly generated into rich text boxes. This is a bug within the font that we use, and the supplier of this font has not made a fix for this yet. We are looking to potentially move to a font from a different source, this would fix the issue completely. We are in progress with this, but we want to make sure that the new font is the same or as similar as possible. For the time being, this fix removes any 'BESbswy' text from displaying on pages, however you may still see this in the edit interface.

Haiku 3.5.3

Release date: 20 April 2015

Features

Bugs

  • Arrows on drop down menus
Wherever there are drop down menus, the arrows on them were being duplicated and displaying over each other. This has been fixed.

Haiku 3.4.1

Release date: 15 March 2015

Features

  • This functionality has been extended so that you can display 4 or 6 tiles on the slideshow

  • There is now the ability to add multiple news or events sections, and they will be independent, showing only the news or event items within their own folder, rather than all of the news or events from across the website.

  • Previously when a user clicked to accept the site cookies, the page would refresh to remove the banner. This no longer happens and the acceptance is seamless for the user.

  • There is now the ability to use the 'Content listing' option on static web page sections. This 'Content listing' display will list all of the item within the folder/section with their title, description and image should they have one in the middle of the page.

Haiku 3.4

Release date: 22 February 2015

Features

  • Previously if there was a space in someones name, for example, Shi Yu Chan, the name in the users profile would display the first word on the top line, and any subsequent words on the line below. We have updated the profiles so that spaces are accepted in the top line also.

  • In the template settings for the research landing page sections, we have added some additional icons to make it easier for you to add columns and rows, and to reorder the rows.

  • Now that the Taxonomy section of the sites is fully up and running, we have removed the 'Categories' option from the site setup.

  • The profile pictures which display in the search results were previously displaying slightly pixelated. This was due to the scaling of the images. We have now increased this scale so the pictures are crystal clear.

  • A field has been added to the image section of the study edit interface so that you can add a Copyright description to your images. The description will display in the bottom right hand side of the image

  • On your Haiku dashboard, you can now see if there are any problems with the remote profiles that you are calling on from another Haiku website. The dashboard will list items for you that were not updated in the last 24 hours. If you see profiles that have not been updated, this is probably due to a change in the host profile. You should check that it has not been deleted or deleted and re-added, as this would break the initial connection and the remote profile will therefore need to be re-added.

Bugs

  • MAC OS9 CSV upload error
  • RSS Parser compatibility issues
