We will improve the amount of information that a user can see about a publication, by providing links to more sources of information. We will show the link to this information on the publication modal, as well as the individual page of the publication. We will display a link to both the publisher copy of the publication, as well as the link to the location that the source is curated from, e.g. PubMed.

Haiku 4.1.0

Release date: 30 March 2016

Features

  • Integration with OxPodcasts and iFrame expansion

This feature will allow the embedding of oxPodcasts (podcasts.ox.ac.uk) on the Haiku websites. In order to allow for this, we will expand out the use of iFrames across the site, allowing them within additional content types such as news and events pages. The iFrames will be placeable anywhere on the page, and in addition we will the use of this functionality in the Rich Text portlet which will allow for further flexibility within your pages.

  • 3 column layout for webpages

Allow editors the ability to use portlets on both the right and left side of the Webpage content type. Please see here for documentation on how to use this functionality - under the display heading near the bottom of the Haiku help article: https://fry-it.atlassian.net/wiki/display/HKB/Using+a+Webpage

  • We need to add a new field to Haiku on the 'Our team' portlet, that allows editors to be able to control the number of profiles that display at any one time.

  • Filter publications by multiple search criteria

Currently the publications filter only allows users to select one parameter from each of the options on the publications section. This new feature allows users to multi select as many options as they would like to create a detailed publication search result. In addition, we have recognised that you would like the ability to link to filtered search results, so now when a search is carried out, the site URL will refresh providing you with a copyable URL link to the precise results that you searched for.

  • Fix for 'Accordion style' navigation - now shows all items under first page when landed upon.
  • 'Powered by Haiku' footer item applied to all Haiku sites.
